Our Covid-19 plan.
Our commitment to you.
In the past weeks, we’ve experienced changes big and small in response to COVID-19. So, Oswald Homes has changed the way we’re doing things, to make sure you can still raise that first glass of champagne in your dream home.
It’s not surprising that if you’re building a new home, you may feel a little uncertain right now, but we’re optimistic that by working together we can overcome these trying times.
The State Government has formalised that Residential Construction is being categorised as an ‘Essential Service’.
We were able to receive this authorisation because residential construction sites are generally, very isolated by nature – we only ever have a handful of contractors on-site at any one time who take regular precautions to ensure their safety and the safety of those around them.
How will this affect you?
Are our offices open?
All Oswald Homes offices will be closed from Monday 30th of March 2020. However, our entire team will be working remotely to ensure that your home stays on-track and on-time.
We’re doing everything we can to stop the spread of COVID-19 and ensure everyone’s safety.
How can I get in touch with the team?
We’d love to hear from you in this period of reflection. Reach us by email, phone, Zoom meeting, Skype and FaceTime. This includes meetings with our Sales and Design team, appointments with our New Home Administrators, and checking progress on-site with our Supervisors.
If you have a preferred way of contacting us that we haven't listed here, just let us know.
Are display homes open?
In accordance with Government restrictions, our display homes will be open 1pm - 4pm Saturday & Sunday, with a limit of 10 people per display home at any one time.
My house is under construction, can I go visit it?
We’re happy for you to visit your home throughout the build, but we do ask that you organise a time with your Site Supervisor prior to showing up. This is for the health and safety of the tradespeople that may be working on your home.
My house is under construction in another region, can I go and visit it?
Yes, but you’ll need a letter from us on a letterhead, a rates notice and a copy of your plans with your address. If this changes we’ll let you know as soon as we know.
What about my pre-start meeting?
We are still allowing meetings in person; however, we are also adhering to social distancing rules. But, we would be more than happy to meet over Skype, Facetime, or Zoom to ensure your safety and ours.
Is construction still underway on my home?
Construction on your home should carry on as per your agreed timeline.
Is there likely to be any delays?
Currently, we are experiencing no known material supply issues. However, if one does arise, we will keep you informed and do our best to tackle it head on.
With you, every step of the way. Our unwavering commitment to you remains as strong as ever, despite these changing tides. Which is why during these trying times, we’re going above and beyond to ensure your safety and the safety of our staff as we make sure you take those first few steps into your dream home.
