Mid century in the modern age
An interesting brief saw our designer, Franco, think outside the box for this fabulous family home.
The clients wanted a home design that features a mid-century-modern inspired elevation with a “playful and comforting” floorplan, while working around an existing granny flat, within R-Code requirements, and the natural topography of the block.
A trio of contemporary homes
These three homes were created to balance refined architecture with highly functional living. The project responds to its urban context, integrating layered landscaping and generous glazing.
Each home is thoughtfully planned to enhance everyday liveability, with light-filled kitchens and sculleries, improved ventilation strategies, and flexible ground-floor spaces that can adapt to changing needs. Split-level moments and feature stair elements are explored to add architectural interest while improving spatial flow and ceiling heights.
A light-filled forever home
The clients requested for a contemporary, light-filled home focused on amenity and accommodation. This home was designed as a permanent base for a growing family. With subtle mid-century influences, it feels light, textured, and full of natural warmth, thanks to generous glass panels and floor-to-ceiling windows. Softly textured and bathed in light, this home encapsulates a mode of family living that is interwoven with nature.
An elevated contemporary oasis
The clients requested a home for an active lifestyle, including a large garage, a spacious store room for bikes and outdoor gear, and a dedicated pool and basketball court area. They envisioned a home that provided seamless indoor and outdoor living spaces, with a private alfresco area and built-in BBQ for entertaining, as well as a pool house or kids’ play area for added enjoyment.
A home of two halves
With its bold, twin-peak façade, this home immediately announces its originality. Timber cladding and expansive windows create a balance between architectural presence and natural warmth, allowing light to flood the interiors while maintaining a connection to the surrounding landscape.

With this design, our clients requested a home that was completely at one with nature. When it came to specifics, they asked for north-facing windows, a jungle room, an atrium, a pool with a cabana, a four-car garage and a study.
